Wabi Sabi opened its doors some twelve years ago and from the outset we have
been proud to offer a range of Japanese Kimono to complement the other Japanese
related items that we have in our shop in Chichester.
All the kimonos that you will see on this website are carefully selected by
our own Japanese buyer and checked for both quality and condition. There is
a wide spectrum of different garments ranging from antique silk Kimono to
the more casual cotton Yukata that are used in Japan for relaxing in before

All kimonos share the same basic shape and they come in a fairly standard size
that can be worn by anyone regardless of height or weight or even gender.
They are made to a generous length that can then be adjusted by tying any
excess length into the belt of sash.
Kimonos can be classified in many different ways and below you will find some
information about some of the better-known styles. too.
